UBCO Live Case Competition 2017
Live Case Challenge is dedicated specifically for third year Business Management students, an extension of MGMT 360 Business Conditions Analysis. At the end of the semester students tackle one local organization's complex challenge, providing a comprehensive business solution. Instructor, Dr. Svan Lembke, has fostered students' learning to leverage their wide range of management skills to develop solutions that would be presented to expert judges during the competition.
This year's case was presented by SunRype with the challenge of developing and implementing new products that relate to the current changing demands in consumer trends. SunRype was founded in 1946 as BC Fruit Processors Ltd here in Kelowna - a great example of a company that is "part of the community".
The top three groups that advance within the competition, get a chance to win the coveted Argus Cup, plus $5,000 for the top winner, and $1,500 for the two runners-up.
Congratulations to this year's UBCO Argus Cup Case Challenge winners: Alan Blackwell, Jonathan Donahoe, Kirsten Haayer and Olivia Johnson. Their lively presentation stood out from the rest with their comprehensive presentation of solutions and recommendations for the SunRype client.
