Music, Fun and Dancing in the Park!
Music and Entertainment are the two key notes for Parks Alive's concerts throughout July and August in Kelowna. Developed and produced by Festivals Kelowna, Parks Alive! presents live concerts encompassing all styles from Blues, Classic Rock, Jazz, Latin, Country, Oldies and much more for all ages and tastes.
The origin to Parks Alive, which was founded by the City of Kelowna in 1997 came from the former "Kelowna Pride" program that was started in 1989. Concerts are played to audiences in unique outdoor venues from North Glenmore, to Rutland, East Kelowna, downtown, the Mission, Kettle Valley, and Black Mountain. Performers range from local artists to world-class professionals.
The Argus team had the pleasure of enjoying some Classic Rock, Rock and Country as a sponsor for Festivals Kelowna. What a wonderful way to promote culture and entertainment within the community!
The weather being hot and sunny called for cold freezies; a perfect accompaniment handed out to the public to quench their thirst! Thanks to the wonderful hosts at Parks Alive, we were able to share in the fun when we handed out our great door prizes for audience members.
There was even a chance to win a one night stay at our amazing hotels; the Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort and Four Points by Sheraton.
Sun, music, dancing, prizes, and sharing in friendly company; what a perfect way to spend summer afternoons and evenings!
